Hello! Welcome to Angie’s SPFX! My name is Angie Acosta and I am a special fx makeup artist. I am currently based in Metro Detroit, Michigan and are open to travel for work. I provide services ranging from Special FX, Beauty Makeup, Lab Work and Hairstyling. I attended two schools for my makeup studies with the first being Multimedia Makeup Academy in Troy, MI 2021-2022 and also attended Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, CA for their Creature Concept Design Program 2023 Fall and also Hairstyling June 2026 and Advanced Lab Techniques June-July 2026. My favorite thing about being a makeup artist is being able to create and really bring a character to life with makeup. I love being able to make people feel emotion in my work. I love bodypainting and turning someone into a human canvas. I grew up very passionate about art, makeup and films that inspired me to do what I do today. I worked on my first feature film in 2022 and since then have done projects ranging from features, music videos, arena concerts, theater, special events, short films, photoshoots and fashion shows.
